The Upper Barrakka is a beautiful public garden in Valletta. It offers a panoramic view of the Grand Harbour.

The origins of the garden go back to 1661, when in effect it was a "private" garden belonging to the Italian knights.

The Upper Barrakka offers beautifully-designed arches using the semi-circle type. But strange to note that behind the monument in this picture one can note an irregular arch related to the other arches. The structure of this type of arch can do damage to the existing building and might cause damage to the bastion itself.

Can this arch be modified first of all for the bastion safety itself and even to be in symmetry with the design of the Upper Barrakka Gardens? Even its closure makes you feel you are in a prison. Why?
