Amended - accused given effective, not suspended jail sentence.

A man who threatened a priest that he would burn him alive, today admitted charges filed against him in court and was condemned to 10 months imprisonment. The court also issued a protection order.

Stephen Nappa, 29, Valletta, had been accused of having, on April 1, vilified the Catholic religion, disrupted a mass and threatened Fr Saviour Grima OSA, Parish Priest of St Augustine Parish, Valletta.

He was further accused of swearing and relapsing.
