The Institute of Business and Commerce within the Malta College for Arts, Science and Technology is holding its annual management studies thematic conference involving its students in 11 programmes at the New Dolmen Hotel, Qawra, on Tuesday from 9 a.m.

The conference aims to expose students to the value-adding field processes and benefits by meeting key industry leaders.

The challenges of people management will be addressed by Tonio Portughese, board director and director of human resource development and external relations of STMicroelectronics.

He will outline various methodologies in the performance management of each employee's contribution, the improvement actions to fill the performance gaps, and the engagement and involvement of each employee in the continuous improvement process.
