Five University architecture students have been awarded the Tony Mifsud Architecture Award.

The awards are organised by Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar in conjunction with the Faculty of Architecture and are named after Tony Mifsud who, in the post-war rebuilding drive, battled to save the damaged old buildings in Valletta.

Students had to reconstruct a post-war building in Valletta. Winners Marcia Calleja, Mark Sullivan, Katia Pace, François Mangion and Paula Agius received their awards from US Ambassador Douglas Kmiec.
