Air Malta to operate more relief flights

Eight extra relief flights are to be operated by Air Malta, the airline said this morning.

Airlines, including Air Malta, had to cancel most of their flights to Europe because of volcanic ash cloud extending from Iceland, to the UK, Scandinavia and moving down to central Europe including parts of Russia.

Due to this cloud, parts of European airspace have been shut down.

Air Malta said in a statement that since there was no improvement in the situation this morning it was constrained to cancel all flights with the exception of KM784/5 to Istanbul, KM668/9 to Palermo, KM612/3 to Reggio/Rome, KM1308/9 to Catania and KM696/7 to Tripoli.

Today, it will be operating the following flights:

It is MIA that charges for that phone call not Air Malta. You can call Air Malta Customer Care on the other number 21 66 22 11. But prepare yourself for a few minutes holding as the lines are, as expected, literally busted with calls. Hu Naqra Pacenzja u rringrazzja l'Alla li int booked ma l-Air Malta.
