In his letter Good News On Tourism (April 12), Anthony Cachia-Castelletti quotes statistics and says there are positive signs for the coming months and that is, of course, good news for Malta. To sustain this and improve tourism in the long term, though, it is important to clean up the litter and dog mess. Sadly, the signs in the streets giving warnings have little effect. Pick up the rubbish, Mr Cachia-Castelletti, and tourism will pick up itself.
