As a visitor to Malta I have driven past the multicoloured monument in Luqa.

It never occurred to me that this had phallic properties.

Of course I will take a longer look at it when I next go through Luqa to see what I have obviously missed. I wonder what those who see sex in everything would make of Nelson's Column or Cleopatra's Needle in London or, God forbid, that they should see the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

What righteous anger would be generated as they revealed the limitation of their perception?
