Mario Scerri recently acted as examiner in the forensic medicine examination for candidates sitting for their final exams leading to Members of the Faculty of Forensic Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians, in London.
Dr Scerri qualified in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Malta in 1984 and proceeded to the DMJ(clin) examination in clinical forensic medicine, passing with distinction and being awarded the David Paul award for outstanding performance, an award which had never before been awarded to a non-British candidate.
Dr Scerri has been elected Fellow of the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians and is currently the medico-legal consultant and expert to the Maltese Law courts and an international expert in external and ballistic wounding.
