Song, music and dance to greet the Pope in Rabat this morning

Members of the neo cathecumenal movement this morning gathered outside the Apostolic Nunciature in Rabat, where Pope Benedict is residing during his stay in Malta, playing music, singing and dancing while waiting for the Pope to come out on his way to the granaries.

Pope Benedict is expected to leave the Nunciature at 9.00 a.m.

Many people also gathering along the streets of Rabat from as early as 7.30 a.m. in spite of the drizzling rain, hoping to catch a glimpse of and get a wave from the Pope.

Some people said that although the Pope visited Rabat yesterday, they did not get to see him as he was being driven so fast.
