The Malta Federation of Organisations for People with a Disability (MFOPD) is aware of the government's commitment to changing current laws to be in a position to ratify the Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities.

However, this needs to be done as soon as possible.

We feel it is high time for the government to ratify the convention in the interest of all people with disabilities.

All our members have been waiting for this to happen for quite some time now. We hope that they do not have to wait much longer.
