Chorus Urbanus participated in a Mass celebrated by Bishop Adeodato Micallef at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mellieħa last Sunday to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the death of Pope John Paul II.

The choir, under the direction of John Galea, sang hymns by Joseph Bezzina, Palestrina, Caruana and Taize.

Members of the Holy Sepulchre and John Paul II Foundation attended.

Chorus Urbanus will be part of a 130-strong adult choir and a 120-strong children's choir that will sing John Galea's Missa In Fractione Panis during Mass by Pope Benedict XVI at the Granaries in Floriana this morning.
