This year Tumas Group, together with four other companies, took part in Corporate Social Responsibility Day, held on March 19.
The Tumas Group carried out works at the Young People's Unit at Mount Carmel Hospital. Works included painting and whitewashing, landscaping of the garden and children's play area, sewing of curtains as well as the installation of two new bathrooms.
Employees were visited by Kate Gonzi, the Prime Minister's wife, who thanked all those present for dedicating some of their time to helping these adolescents.
Employees from the Dolmen Resort Hotel, Kia Motors, Spinola Developments, Tumas Group Management and Valletta Gateway Terminal carried out works.
"This is the first time Tumas Group has participated in such an event.
We will continue supporting these initiatives," said Tumas Group chairman George Fenech.
Other supporting business partners include Ħalmann Vella Ltd, Calamatta Landscapes, Makaw Ltd, Cuschieri Aluminum and Hydroelectric.
This day was organised in collaboration with four other companies, namely HSBC Bank Malta, Simonds Farsons Cisk, Gasan Group of Companies and Deloitte.
