No seafood, spicy food or mushrooms for the Pope
Vatican officials have asked Air Malta to ensure that the catering service on the flight that takes the Pope back to Rome on Sunday does not include sea food, spicy food or mushrooms.
His main course will be veal with cream with Pannacotta for dessert.
Kristina Chetcuti met Captain Joe Agius and Chief Pursor Joe Fava, who will be responsible for the flight back to Ciampino Airport.

Once I travelled to Malta and back to England on a Comet or a Vanguard BEA aircraft and there were only two or three passengers on board. I had excellent sevice with the stewardesses sitting beside me and talking to me all the way. When it came to lunch they gave me a jelly like substance which looked as if it came or was formed from a bowl container which was turned upside down over the plate before me. Within the transparent like substance I could see various pretty shapes but I could not make them out, and the lady stuart sat down and explained, how gelitine was first put in a bowl and then the prawns were distributed artistically in sectors and in layers of gelatine like substance, to form the pattern . It looked like an artistic piece ofMdinaGlass where the internal colours are hewed out in a transperent outer body. Also when young I had a lof or wonderful glass marbels where within the transperent glass one would see such beautiful colourful patterns. Pitily I ate it.
Thelady told me that all colours are normally accepted in decorating food in a plate, but somehow BLUE is not!!
