The Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin has issued fresh directives to part-time clerks working in state schools.
The union instructed them not to answer telephone calls or do anything beyond the remit of their job.
In February, the union had also ordered the clerks to refrain from attending meetings about the job profiling skills exercise and not to do any work related to it.
The union is accusing the Education Ministry of dragging its feet over counterproposals for part-time clerks. The government workers' section within the UĦM said it had sent proposals to the Administration on behalf of the clerks over three months ago, adding it still had not received a reply.
