An exhibition, timed to coincide with the commemoration of Anzac Day (April 25), is running for the entire month of April at the library of University of Malta.
During World War II, HMAS Vendetta participated in the infamous Malta convoys, running supplies to Tobruk, the evacuation of Crete and naval engagements.
The crew of this ship, built in 1917, also played a now forgotten part in the defence of Malta for the first four weeks the island was under attack.
Among the exhibits are photographs, documents and memorabilia, dating from World War I up until recent times.
The exhibition runs until April 30. Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. to 12.15 p.m. Entrance is free of charge.

Charity art exhibition and auction
FACES is organising an art exhibition and auction at the Hilton Business Centre from 7 p.m. onwards. A number of well-established and up-and- coming artists have kindly donated their art which will be displayed and auctioned throughout the three evenings. All proceeds raised will go towards setting up a clinic and providing free education in Buza, a Slum area outside Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania.

The series of exhibitions, dedicated to works by Maltese artists who have studied in Italian academies of art thanks to scholarships offered by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has now reached its fourth edition. This year it’s the turn of seven renowned Maltese artists, namely: Patrick J. Fenech, Savio Deguara, Eman Grima, Kenneth Grima, Luciano Micallef, Paul Scerri and Tony Sciberras. The works displayed cover diverse expressive modes and range from paintings to ceramics, from sculpture to photography. Free entrance.

The Seduction of the Almighty God
Written by Howard Barker and produced by Unifaun Theatre Productions, the play is directed by Rachel O’Riordan. Set during the dissolution of monasteries, a critical moment in the history of the English priesthood, the loss of faith and corruption that characterised the priests of the period is unexpectedly challenged by the arrival of a young man with an unsullied and passionate belief in God. The cast includes Manuel Cauchi, Michael Zammit Maempel, Joe Azzopardi, Lizzie Eldridge, Mikhail Basmadjian, Coryse Borg, Andrew Galea and Pia Zammit. Gaulitanus: A Festival of Music
The Italian piano duo formed by Andreina Nascani and Fernanda Raponi will give a four-hand recital at the Gozo Ministry’s Hall, at 8 p.m. The concert will be held in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute. On April 21, Gozo’s Island Brass will present an open air concert of popular music in St Theodore Street, Xewkija. The concert starts at 7.30 p.m. The final event will be held on April 24, at the Gozo Ministry’s Hall. Several excerpts from the very popular operettas by the very famous English duo will be performed. The concert starts at 8 p.m. Entrance for all concerts is free.
