Maltapost's Philatelic Bureau is commemorating Pope Benedict XVI's visit to Malta this weekend with a Miniature sheet and an Occasion Card.

The Miniature sheet, with one stamp having the denomination of €3, depicts the image of Pope Benedict XVI.

The stamp is presented with an aerial view of Malta as a background together with the Pope's visit Official Logo and the image of St Paul, whilst the Occasion Card Number 24 in series that complement this set also bears the image of Pope Benedict XVI.

The Miniature sheet is designed by Paul Psaila and measures 130mm x 85mm, while the stamp measures 44mm x 31mm with a perforation of 13.9 x 14 (comb).

The stamp has been offset printed on Maltese Crosses watermarked paper by Printex Limited and will be as a miniature sheet.

The Papal Visit 2010 Miniature sheet and the Occasion Card will be available for sale on Saturday from all MaltaPost p.l.c. branches in Malta and Gozo and from the MaltaPost Mobile Van during the various manifestations in Valletta, Rabat, Floriana and Valletta Waterfront.
