Maltese instructor completes 25,000 dives

Calypso Sub-Aqua Club diving officer Mario Azzopardi, Dive Systems director Paul Sciberras, Joseph Chircop, rescue diver student Shanel Attard and dive master in training David Vella.

Dive Systems chief instructor Joseph Chircop recently logged his 25,000th dive during a rescue diver training session.

Mr Chircop started diving at the age of 14 and has been an instructor since 1978. He has worked with several local diving schools and ran his own dive schools, Derek's Scuba School and North East Diving Services, for a number of years.

He recently also worked in the Maldives, Egypt and Kuwait as an instructor.
