A moving performance

On behalf of several people from Sta Luċija, I would like to congratulate the Gżira pageant group for a moving performance of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ, performed at the Olive Garden in Sta Luċija, on the initiative of the local council. The site proved to be a perfect setting for such a drama.

The performance commenced with extracts from miracles performed during the last days of Our Lord before the Passion, the Last Supper and washing of feet and institution of the Eucharist.

The agony in the Garden and arrest of Jesus were moving performances, and so were the scourging at the pillar, accusation in front of the Sanhedrin and Pontius Pilate and finally the way to the Golgotha and Crucifixion, performed on a stage for the occasion. The burial was held in the local girna.
