Vikings claim Barbarossa Cup

Last weekend, the Imperial Gozo Yacht Club (IGYC) organised the Barbarossa Cup.

Now in its third edition, the Barbarossa Cup is an annual team challenge between the IGYC and the Vikings Sailing Club.

The race started and finished outside Mġarr harbour with the course laid around Comino.

The IGYC yacht First Class finished first on corrected time, followed very closely by Vikings entry Sailing Buddy.

The Vikings were declared winners with an average corrected time for their yachts of 2:46:00 against an aggregate time of 2:50:18 for those of the IGYC.
