The 17th International Age Group Swimming Meeting, organised by the Aquatic Sports Association (ASA), gets underway today at the National Pool, Tal-Qroqq.

More than 200 swimmers representing the ASA national swimming team, IASIS, Marsascala, Neptunes, Sliema and Birkirkara St Joseph are taking part in this three-day meet which comes to a close on Saturday.

This year's competition will also see the participation of eight foreign teams, namely ASPTT Grand Lyon and Gallia Club Omnisport de Bihorel, from France, UK-based clubs Farnham, Bedford High School, South Croydon SC and Windsor, Italian club Specialisti Dello Sport and Kreuzlingen from Switzerland.
