MRC honour veteran correspondent Bonello

During the 18th meeting of the horse racing season, held last Sunday, the Malta Racing Club (MRC) honoured veteran corres-pondent Simon A. Bonello.

Bonello has called time on his journalism career after 40 years of service. Matthew Brincat, the chairman of the MRC, presented Bonello with a memento in recognition of his contribution in promoting the sport of horse racing.

For his part, Bonello thanked Dr Brincat and the other members of the MRC Council for their gesture and appealed to all horse racing enthusiasts to appreciate the work and initiatives being taken by the club's council.
