A group of 34 shooters from the Malta Rifle and Pistol Shooting Club (MRPSC) recently visited the ATS range close to Caltagirone, Sicily. The club is affiliated with the Association of Maltese Arms Collectors and Shooters (AMACS).

This was the largest group of Maltese shooters to visit the ATS range. The group, led by AMACS president Stephen Petroni, were hosted by Salvo Petta, the president of the Federazione Siciliana Tiro Sportivo, and range operator Franco Pernice.

The Maltese shooters took part in various disciplines including dynamic pistol (IPSC), conventional pistol (25m) and rifle (100m).

This was an excellent opportunity for Maltese enthusiasts to monitor range procedures in Sicily ahead of the licensing of the first private ranges in Malta.

Another shoot in Sicily is planned for the final week of July.

AMACS is commemorating its 25th anniversary with a series of events. For more information visit www.amacs-malta.org.
