The shipping company which owns Tug Malta Ltd has decided to register most of its chemical units with the Malta Register of Shipping in the interest of fleet harmonisation and operating efficiencies.

Euroceanica (UK) Ltd is based in the City of London and owns and operates a fleet of 14 chemical tankers and two panamax dry cargo bulk vessels.

It forms part of the Rimorchiatori Riuniti Group of Genoa, Italy, which owns Tug Malta Limited. All seven tug boats operated by Tug Malta Limited are registered under the Malta flag.

The company has already transferred the vessels Crystal Atlantica and Crystal Ambra (which previously flew the Italian flag), whilst the Crystal Skye and the Crystal Amaranto (ex-UK flag) are in the process of being re-flagged.

The Crystal Diamond, Crystal Topaz, Crystal Amethyst, Crystal Emerald, and Crystal Pearl (all ex-Luxembourg flag) will be registered in Malta in the next few months, completing the re-flagging operation by the beginning of summer.
