Outage serious and worrisome problem - PN

Yesterday’s power outage was a serious and worrisome shortcoming, the Nationalist Party said, welcoming the government’s determined position for a serious investigation and clear explanation by Enemalta.

The party said it understood the inconvenience resulting from the power failure and the negative consequences it could have on tourism, especially at this time.

It hoped that the Opposition leader would stop making a political ball out of the electricity provision and stop opposing the country’s urgent need to invest in strengthening its energy production. It was a shame, it said, that the Labour leader opted for cheap propaganda during his news conference but failed to provide any solutions.

The problem needed to be solved with immediate action to strengthen energy production and not with partisan conference, the PN said
