Apologies for cancelled flight
EasyJet's new Milan Malpensa - Malta route did not get off to a good start after last Thursday's flight was cancelled just 45 minutes before take-off.
Just two days after the new route started operating, EasyJet cancelled the flight for operational reasons. The airline did not cite what the "operational reasons" were but sources said there was a problem with the flight crew.
The airline apologised for the inconvenience.
"EasyJet prides itself of operational excellence. We operate 1,000 flights a day with one of the world's youngest fleets of nearly 200 aircraft, which are on average 3.5 years old. Our flights are on average 86 per cent full and even fuller during the current Easter period. This year, EasyJet expects 50 million passengers on over 500 routes," the airline said.

Easyjet = easymoney
Someone yesterday said that we, through the Government, are subsidizing each of these low cost airlines passengers to the tune of €25. Aren't subsidies illegal or are they only illegal where Maltese companies are concerned?
