Man hospitalised for smoke inhalation
A man had to be taken to hospital as a precautionary measure after inhaling smoke from a fire at a house in Triq il-Punent, Naxxar, this afternoon.
The cause of the fire, in a washroom, is not yet known but it put out by Civil Protection Department personnel in about 20 minutes.
An elderly couple who live at the house were shaken but fine.
The man who had to be taken to hospital was helping his daughter move her belongings in the house next door, which she plans to move into tomorrow.
