Middlesea sponsors equipment for Malta Red Cross

Middlesea Insurance plc recently reaffirmed its commitment towards the Malta Red Cross Society by sponsoring the purchase of new equipment for the ambulances. The funds donated will be utilised to buy radio and first aid equipment as well as spinal boards.

This equipment is of utmost importance to the Malta Red Cross Society as the demand for their services is on the increase, especially in view of forthcoming events that are going to be happening in Malta, such as the visit of Pope Benedict in April.

Anne Marie Tabone, chief operations officer of Middlesea Insurance plc, presented a sponsorship cheque to the president of the Malta Red Cross Society Frederick Fenech. The presentation took place in front of Middle Sea House in Floriana in the presence of a number of Middlesea employees and Red Cross paramedics and volunteers.

During the presentation Ms Tabone expressed her appreciation for the valuable services rendered by the Malta Red Cross Society and stated that it is worthy initiatives such as this that Middlesea Insurance is proud to support through its corporate social responsibility policy.

Prof. Fenech thanked Middlesea Insurance plc for its continued support towards the Red Cross Society.
