Valletta will be without defenders Luke Dimech and Steve Borg for their next Championship Pool match against Tarxien Rainbows after they were sanctioned by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner yesterday.

Borg, who was sent off in the dying stages of Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Birkirkara, and Dimech, who picked up his fourth booking, were both handed a one-match ban. They will skip their team's meeting with the Rainbows on April 11.

Leaders Birkirkara will be without midfielder Alan Tabone for their meeting against Sliema Wanderers on April 9. Tabone was handed a one-match ban after he was booked against Valletta on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Sliema coach Mark Marlow will not be able to lead his team against the Stripes from the bench after he was handed a two-match ban. Marlow was punished after he was dismissed in the 4-0 defeat to Qormi.

Hibs defender Adrian Pulis was handed a one-match ban after his red card against Tarxien while Ħamrun Spartans midfielder Rupert Mangion was suspended for one-match.
