L-Istrina beneficiaries announced - March 31, 2010

The Malta Community Chest Fund today announced the organisations which will benefit from the proceeds of Istrina 2009.

President George Abela said the event had been a success and 27 beneficiaries had been selected on the basis of the help they needed and the projects which they had proposed.

€2.3 million had been raised in the Boxing Day event.

The beneficiaries are: Fra Diego Home, Dar Pirotta, YMCA, Fondazzjoni Nazareth, The Malta Guide Dogs Foundation, the Muscular Dystrophy Group, the Mission Fund, Mid-Dlam ghad-Dawl, the Victim Support (Malta), Fondazzjoni Suret il-Bniedem, Oratorju Don Bosco (Gozo),

St. Jeanne Antide Foundation, Caritas, Fondazzjoni Arka, Fondazzjoni Wens, Ursuline Sisters, Inspire, Malta Hospice Movement, Fondazzjoni Hajja Indipendenti, Little Sisters of the Poor, Dar il-Kaptan, Equal Partners Foundation;

Richmond Foundation, Fondazzjoni OASI, Physically Handicapped Rehabilitation Fund, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Franciscan Sisters of the Heart of Jesus.
