If you are not the sole owner of a house, you must ask your relatives for their consent before selling it. The damage that is being caused to people in this situation is beyond redress and why the government has not yet abolished this feudal law is beyond me.

I hear the government is planning to introduce a tax on vacant property. What next... Can it not look into matters a little deeper before punishing these property owners further?

All the poky flats being built could stop erupting everywhere if we stop and reason things out. So many properties are vacant because the law is impossible to carry out. People have been in court with their own family for years. It is not fair, something should really be done about it now, not in 10 years' time. People are suffering the consequences of signatures left out in a will.

Will somebody out there be dignified enough to open his eyes and do something in favour of these people for a change?
