Maltese band Tribali have again been invited to perform at the prestigious Blues & Roots Festival in Byron Bay, the second biggest festival in Australia with a traditional line up of musical giants.

The band gave its first performance there two years ago and festival owner Peter Nobles showed immediate interest to book them for the next edition.

Howard Keith (Jagged House management ) said that this year's festival sees the return of the legendary band Crowded House as well as Jack Johnson, The Fray, Jools Holland, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, Lyle Lovett, Aldi Meola, Gogol Bordello and 10CC. The festival attracts over 80,000 people and is made up of six stages.

"We're very fortunate to be given an amazing slot in one of the large stages at prime time 10:30 pm on April 1 as headliners as well as two other slots. This is more than we ever dreamt off when we started our humble dream and musical journey" said Peter Paul from Tribali.

Back in Malta the band will also be supporting the worldwide famous band Prodigy on April 30 at MFCC, Ta' Qali.

Tribali front man Peter Paul further confirmed that the band underwent a line-up change last October with the inclusion of Jean Pierre Zammit on guitars, and sitar. Following the top seller 'Elephants of Lanka' which won best album at this year's Malta Music awards, the band will be entering the studio at the end of the year to start working on their third album.

Tribali have also performed in Glastonbury Festival , the world's biggest music festival and their past works were also featured on Petrol Records, World Music network, The rough guide to Indian Lounge, Songlines, CNN, BBC, SBS, Gondwana Sound, Maramundi , RAI and many more.
