Westerners follow Thai brides to hard-up northeast

Thousands of Western men have settled in Thailand's northeast, moving in with local wives whom they meet in Bangkok or beach resort towns.

But once back in the women's poor rural region, each couple has to find its own approach to managing such cross-cultural unions. AFP reports.
