With reference to the article Jobs Start To Be Hit (March 23), The Times published the name World Organisation Of The Neonates Of Great Al-Fateh, but did not elaborate. I have the following questions:
What are the origins of this organisation?
What year was it founded?
What is its mission statement?
What is its hierarchical structure?
What is the source of its funding?
Where (in which country) is it headquartered?
What is its total membership?
How often does it hold meetings?
Can anyone attend?
Does it have an office/meeting place in Malta? At which address?
If this is a "foreign" organisation, is it registered with the Malta Police Force?
Also, quoting from the same article, "Some [Maltese] did not even know the Libyans were demonstrating against the ban on minaret construction".
Can the Immam, who preaches peace and goodwill towards all men, explain his participation in a "march of anger" and his criticism of Switzerland because of last November's "no" vote against the building of minarets. Was he aware that an umbrella group of Muslim organisations in the western part of Switzerland had written an open letter to the Libyan leader describing his call for jihad as "unacceptable", and pointing out that as a secular state Switzerland treats all religions equally? The books on the minaret issue were closed when the "no" result was made public in November 2009. It was what it was, and not one whisper of protest was heard from whatever quarter at that time. So why now?
We unenlightened ones want to know.
