Drug addict jailed for theft

A 40-year-old man from Cospicua was this morning jailed for 20 months after pleading guilty to stealing from a private residence in September 2006.

Brian Muscat, of Cospicua, also pleaded guilty to damaging the property and relapsing.

Magistrate Lawrence Quintano sent a recommendation to the prison authorities to send Mr Muscat to a drug rehabilitation programme as soon as possible.
