About 200 UK planners have registered to attend Taste of Malta, the Malta Tourism Authority event at Kensington Roof Gardens in London today.

Maltese food, wine and entertainment will be on offer at the workshop, which will showcase Malta's destination management companies and corporate and incentive properties.

Guests will learn how to prepare Maltese delacacies under the guidance of chef George Borg of Il-Kartell Restaurant, and taste organic wines produced at Gozo's first agri-tourism enterprise, Ta' Mena Estate.

"The UK C&I industry is one of Malta's most significant markets," MTA director Alex Incorvaja said.

"The quality assurance scheme, launched last year, has enabled several of our DMCs to achieve the MTA quality seal as a sign of their commitment to high levels of service and professionalism. This year, we will be partnering with Malta's five-star hotels to increase our networking events in the UK and Malta."
