The parents of Gunner Matthew Psaila, who died after a training exercise in Chadwick Lakes last year, have filed a judicial letter against the Prime Minister, the Commander of the AFM, the officer commanding his regiment and other officers.

They said that it was clear that Matthew's death was the result of negligence and non-observance of regulations.

They therefore gave the authorities five days within which to pay compensation for damages caused.

Lawyers Michael and Jacqueline Tanti Dougall and Mark Simiana signed the protest.
