Student absenteeism higher in church schools

Education Minister Dolores Cristina said the average number of students that have missed school due to reasons other than sickness in state schools was of 2,304 in 2009.

Answering a question by Anthony Agius Decelis (PL), she said that those missing lessons church schools were 8,712 and in independent schools were 2,783.
