Work to do
The Employment and Training Corporation assisted 2,132 young people find a job last year and it projected that it would have helped 28,000 people find employment by 2013, Parliamentary Secretary Clyde Puli said.
Speaking during the opening of a Job Fair, organised by the ETC at Ta’ Qali, Mr Puli said the corporation was investing €27 million in several projects and schemes aimed at those seeking employment, school leavers who lacked work experience and others.
The fair brought together a good number of local companies and recruitment agencies who promoted their different vacancies.
Several government and private vocational educational institutions and training services providers also took part.

I seriously DO NOT RECOMMEND getting any job offered from ETC the communist government institutions where their goal is to make you give up your rights. It will be the worst job you have ever dreamed of. Imagine a 4 by 4 metres plastic cubicle, you will work in that cubicle. Imagine minimum wage, night shifts, jobs were they would call you any time of the day for work, that is the kind of jobs they will force you to go for an interview. Seriously UNRECOMMENDED to anyone with qualifications. My suggestion aviod ETC and its communist style workers, buy a newspaper and search the internet for a decent job. Avoid ETC at all costs.

@J.Smith
While i fully agree with your contribution , the fact still remains that they need money for their daily needs

There are a number of part-time courses available, designed specifically for people who have families to support.

@Glenda Zammit - fully agree 100% with you. My husband is trying to move on to another job and apart from registering with etc and receiving their regular updates he was told that there was very little they could do for him. Furthermore the section for employees over 40 doesn't exist any longer. We have not received much help either.

Ms. Zammit,
Malta is one of the few countries in the world to still offer free tertiary and vocational level courses. May I humbly suggest that your husband consider attending one of the many courses on offer, while they are still available?

If all these fantasy figures issued by the Government and its entities were facts, then Malta would surely be in seventh heaven without any problems whatsoever.
