Antoine Vassallo has been confirmed president of the Gozo NGOs Association council.

The council was elected during the association's annual general meeting in February.

The roles of the elected mem-bers were assigned during a recent meeting of the council. The other members are Ray Xerri (vice president and membership secretary), Joe Xerri (secretary) and Joe Camilleri (treasurer and sports group coordinator).

Following the election, a dis-cussion was held on possible activities to strengthen the voluntary sector in Gozo.
