An artist's impression of the extrasolar planet Corot-9b, passing in front of - or transiting - it's central star, called Corot-9. According to Dr Hans Deeg, one of the scientists from the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canaries in Tenerife, the Jupiter-size planet is the first that resembles planets in our solar system - it could become a "Rosetta stone" helping scientists to understand other "exoplanets" elsewhere in the galaxy.
