Top quality staff at Karen Grech

May I express my gratitude to the consultant, doctors, head nurse, nurses, nursing aids and all the staff at Ward M4 in Karen Grech Hospital for the dedication, love, patience and service "well beyond the call of duty" they showed towards me during my stay there last February. My wife Lilian joins me in expressing these sentiments.

I was at Karen Grech for almost four weeks and I was impressed by the way all the staff treated us patients. They tried to keep one and all as comfortable as possible. They were always ready to help me in all my needs and answered my requests with a smile on their face, whether it was during the day or during the night. When they would pass by my room they would at times stop to share a word, a joke or even a song with me. My room was kept meticulously clean.

What I also found praiseworthy is the fact that besides the daily communion that is given out to patients, two Masses are celebrated during the week in the corridor of this ward and all the bed-ridden patients who so wish are carried out either in a wheelchair or on their bed to be present at this Mass.

The priest who offers these Masses is very friendly and dedicated. Not only during Mass but also a few minutes before, so as to put us all in the right spirit, he plays some hymns on his record player.

May the Good Lord reward them all for their generous and loving work.
