Labour Party candidate for Madliena election

I refer to the letter At Madliena's Service (March 10) signed by Frank Salt, Mary Anne Abela, Kenneth De Martino, Wallace Farrugia, Anna Paris and Quentin Tanti, from Madliena.

Although these persons are contesting the hamlet elections on behalf of the Nationalist Party, it is curious that they omitted to state this fact.

Their letter gives the false impression that only six people will be contesting these hamlet elections.

The Labour Party is not privy to their logic but curiously enough they seem to want the Madliena residents to believe that none other than themselves are keen to offer their services to the people of Madliena.

For the sake of accuracy, allow us to clarify that Alexander Chetcuti will also be offering his services to the people of Madliena, and that on March 27 his name will also feature on the ballot sheet in representation of the Labour Party.
