Boy escapes serious injury in fall

A 14-year-old boy escaped serious injury this morning when he slid down a space between two walls in Pembroke and fell a height of one storey.

The incident happened when the boy was sitting on a low wall with some friends and the wall collapsed.

He was given assistance by rescuers from the Civil Protection Department and the police after he became trapped.

The boy was taken to hospital but was not seriously injured. Another boy who managed to cling on when the wall collapsed was treated for a knee injury.
