8 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela attend a reception hosted by Ireland's charge d'affairs Gerald O'Connor and Mrs O'Connor on St Patrick's Day at the Phoenicia Hotel, Floriana.

9 a.m. Mrs Abela presides over the Malta Community Chest Fund Working Committee at San Anton Palace, Attard.

10.30 The President is presented with a donation by Allied Newspapers Ltd employees in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund at San Anton Palace.

9.15 a.m. The President and Mrs Abela attend solemn Mass celebrated by Archbishop Paul Cremona, on the feast of St Joseph at the Franciscan church of St Mary of Jesus church (Ta' Ġieżu), Rabat.

7.30 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela attend a reception hosted by Tunisian Ambassador Mohamed Ali Ganzoui and Mrs Ganzoui on Tunisia National Day at the Ambassador's residence in Attard.
