• The International Movement of Prayer Blessed Pope John XXIII is holding an evening of prayer for peace and new evangelisation of the world, at Sarria church, Floriana, on Wedesday from 5.30 to 6.30 p.m. Everybody is invited.

• The Augustinian friars of Tarxien are organising an evening for youths entitled Lejla Żgħażugħa, which will include music, prayer and confession, at their church in Triq Lampuka on Friday at 8 p.m.

• A series of prayer evenings are being held at Mt St Joseph retreat house, Mosta, to reflect on the Sunday liturgy during Lent on Saturday and March 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. They will be led by Fr Pierre Grech Marguerat, SJ, Fr Mario Jaccarini, SJ, and Fr Robert Soler, SJ. No prior booking is required.

• Moviment Era Ġdida is holding Lenten reflections led by Fr Colin Apap at the Excelsior Hotel, Floriana, between March 22 and 28 from 7 to 9 p.m., and between March 27 and 30 at City Theatre, Valletta.

• The Breast Care Support Group Europa Donna Malta, in collaboration with Action for Breast Cancer Foundation and the Ladies Running Club, will be holding an awareness walk on Sunday. The walk will start from the Independence Monument (The Mall) near the Phoenicia Hotel at 9 a.m. and end at the Ferries in Sliema. Participation is against a donation of €5. • The Centre of Ignatian Spirituality is holding a retreat for male professionals at Manresa House, Victoria, from March 26 at 7 p.m. to March 30 after lunch. The retreat will be led by Fr Bartolomeo Sorge, SJ, founder and ex-director of the Istituto di Formazione Politica Pedro Arrupe and currently editor of Aggiornamenti Sociali, and will be delivered in Italian.
