Two charged with money laundering
Two men of Nigerian origin yesterday appeared in court on charges related to money laundering.
Osita Anagboso Oli, who lives in Germany, and Austine Eze, who resides in Birkirkara, pleaded not guilty to committing the crime earlier this month.
Mr Oli, 36, was also charged with failing to declare €31,000 to Customs officials at the airport when he attempted to leave Malta last Wednesday. Mr Eze, also 36, was charged with complicity.
The men were remanded in custody.
