Man accused of violent indecent assault
Mohammed Awal, a 31-year-old immigrant from Sierra Leone, was today charged with the violent incident assault of a 16-year-old girl and injuring the teenager by biting her.
Mr Awal, who was also accused of stealing the girl's mobile phone, pleaded not guilty.
The attack allegedly took place on January 27 at midnight in Qawra as the girl walked home.
The prosecution believe that Mr Awal was with two other men when the teenager was attacked, sources said. Mr Awal, who looked distraught, was remanded in custody.

Cases like this unfortunatly are becoming more common. Not to say that Maltese do not commit such crimes, but we have been reading about far too many cases involving immigrants.
It is shocking especially considering that immigrants form only a small percentage of the population.
The government should listen to the people, this is not just me saying it but nearly all the Maltese population, we are FULL UP. Stop allowing ILLEGAL immigrants into Malta
