A drug addict who allegedly tried to burgle his employer's home was yesterday remanded in custody.

Twanny Grima, 32, of Paola pleaded not guilty to trying to steal from a house in Attard, handling stolen property, driving despite a ban and relapsing on Thursday at about 1.30 p.m. Police Inspector Elton Taliana told Magistrate Lawrence Quintano that Mr Grima had a bad drug problem and wanted to steal to fuel the habit.

Lawyer Luciano Busuttil appeared for Mr Grima.
