Marsa power station well within operating limits

With the Marsa power station needing to be closed down by 2015 or after 20,000 hours of operation since January 1, 2008, Economy Minister Tonio Fenech has confirmed that the four units at the plant are still well within the limit.

The four units have respectively been operated for 11,403, 10,585, 11,095 and 13,229 hours.

He was replying to a parliamentary question by Labour MP Leo Brincat.
