New president for AmCham Malta

Pierre Attard has been elected president of AmCham Malta, the American Chamber of Commerce in Malta. Mr Attard is a chartered management accountant by profession and holds an MBA from Henley Management College.

He joined FedEx Global Partner in Malta in 1996 as a non- executive director and in 1999 he took up the post of business development director and managing director in 2001. During 2006-2007 he was an advisory board member of the Purple Academy, the learning and development division of FedEx Express EMEA.

The other elected members of the board are James Satariano vice president, Anton Tabone honorary secretary, Denis Gatt honorary treasurer, and Alfred Cuschieri, Marco Frazier and Peter Matson members.

The executive secretary of the board is Simon Barberi.
